If we are to consider the creation of a structured knowledge quadrant consisting of categorical and sub-categorical vectors as a means to probe deeper into the phenomenon that continues to vex the world’s curious-minded, then the recent provision of files from the US Pentagon is a welcome addition to the reflexive and analytical layer of the larger body of data. Fear not, you may not get what you want, but you will get something of value (which is what you need).
We maintain that all UFO data is useful to varying degrees. Further cause for optimism, much more of it is on the way from the most significant source – the United States government. And while you may not get a disclosure speech you’ve been conditioned to expect from the mass entertainment industry, you will get something better: the data that fuels the work to research independently and draw your own conclusions.
Disclosure will likely come in the form of consensus.
Disclosure is in the data.
In our scaffold of data, we are drawn to the important meta-knowledge reflexive and analytical quadrants that contain subdomains such as Method & Verification, Institutional Frameworks, Researcher Ontologies, Discourse & Narrative, Classifications.
As an example, Institutional Frameworks come from MUFON, AATIP, AAWSAP, NICAP, etc., and are useful for UFO event observation alignments. Researcher Ontologies can be derived by a close reading of the works of Vallee, Jung, Kripal, and Hynek, etc. Discourse & Narrative is filled with collected witness statements, weather conditions, proximity of sighting data, observer classification, etc.
We must meet the “whole of government approach” to the UFO “disclosure” with a whole of data analysis approach. This is Christmas for serious UFO researchers. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise.
Yes, much of the first batch is known to serious researchers. But there are nuggets of new information in the data. Even if it isn’t the “aha” data point that everyone wants, patience, a whole painting isn’t done in a single brushstroke application of paint.
Accept the data. Scrub the data. Organize the data. Analyze the data.
The UFO puzzle is to grapple with the very fabric of the nature of existence. This mystery is a gift. Delve into the search for truth with gratitude.
